Monica Drapalova graduated from the Decorative Arts School of Prague. She creates top of the range women’ clothing shown in the Czech Republic and around the world.

In 1998 she created her own brand, Modra, and opened her own workshop. The following year she became “Designer of the Season” for her fall/winter collection in the International Fashion Contest in Brno, Czech Republic.

In November 2001 she opened a second workshop in the “Designers’ Village” Lyon, France, and she is now working in both countries.

Modra is marketed in around ten countries and still offers custom built clothes for private customers.

The Modra concept is based on new styles and new materials research so that women can fully express their femininity.

The Modra workshop also creates one-off designs. Amongst her customers you will find women who demand originality in their clothing.
